The Slovak Republic, or Slovakia, is a Central European state located in the heart of the continent. It has been a member of the European Union since 2004 and shares its borders with Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, Austria to the west, and the Czech Republic to the northwest.

Slovakia covers an area of approximately 49,000 square kilometers (19,000 square miles) and has Bratislava as its capital and largest city, followed by Košice in second place. The official language of Slovakia is Slovak.

The country is dominated by the Western Carpathian Mountains. Average annual temperatures range from -4°C (25°F) in the High Tatras to a little over 10°C (50°F) in the Danube lowlands

Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic in Tunisia : CHAFIK EL BAHY

Chafik EL BAHY has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Tunisia since September 2nd, 2022.

He received his exequatur authorization in Cairo from H.E. Madame Lenka Miháliková, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Egypt, during the reception held on January 23, 2023, at the embassy to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak Republic
